We keep WordPress core updated on every plan. Guard and Outrider add managed theme and plugin updates.
What we update
| Update | Scout | Guard | Outrider |
|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress core | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Theme and plugins | No | Yes | Yes |
On Scout, you update your theme and plugins yourself from your WordPress dashboard, or move to Guard to have them handled. Premium themes and plugins need an active license from you to receive updates.
Tell us about special plugins
If a plugin was custom-built for you, is licensed through someone else, or has to stay on a certain version, email support@stagecoach.hosting and tell us before it causes a problem.
Testing a big change
Planning a major plugin or theme change yourself? Try it on your staging site first.
